We are Wildflower Women

As part of the We are Wildflower Women project, we produced a ‘wildflower woman starter kit’ to encourage further engagement with Sophia Anne Delaval’s story and to encrouage other women in recovery to get creative.

Inspired by Sophia Anne Delaval’s story and the interactive quilt produced by women as part of the project, this kit encourages women to stitch their own experiences and stories into a bespoke fabric background. 

The kit contains everything necessay to create an embellished mini-quilt: purpose-printed bespoke fabric to be embellished with thread and sequins; wadding, backing fabric, and binding to turn the embroidery into a quilt. And of course needles and scissors to do all of this. 

On top of the creative materials, the kit also contains a booklet about Sophia Anne Delaval’s story and art cards containing quotes from the QSOS archive and from women that were part of the project as inspiration.
