Meet The Team

Research Lead (Principal Investigator)

Dr Dawn Branley-Bell

Dawn is a chartered psychologist (cPsychol.) specialising in cyberpsychology. Her research interests include internet/social media use, health and wellbeing, and online behaviour. She has a keen interest in online communication around eating disorders, and self-harm, and the use of tech for health-related interventions. Other interests include exploring the positive side of internet usage, cybersecurity, and behaviour change. Dawn is a committee member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) cyberpsychology section, and editorial team member for the BPS Cyberpsychology Bulletin.

Senior Research Assistant

Claire Murphy-Morgan

Claire graduated from the MSc Psychology programme at Northumbria University in 2017. She has been a member of the psychology department since April 2021 supporting the Hoarding Research Group's research into the impact of social networks and hoarding behaviours in attitudes towards support housing in older adults. Her research interested are cyberpsychology and parapsychology, and how individuals beliefs are shared online.
