I am Lauren Scott, a research fellow at Northumbria University, working on this very exciting project.
I thought I would use this space to introduce myself. I am a researcher by day and a gamer by night. My research background is primarily on misinformation correction within family networks, although I have dabbled in work on digital literacy, AI literacy, Digital Civics, and gamification of learning. For gaming, I play a lot of Mario Kart, but also play TTRPGs, TCGs, and more. You’ll probably read posts from me over the course of this project, and if you are already involved you will definitely get an email from me at some point.
Some project updates:
We are in the process of getting everything up and running, with research instrument drafting and workshop booking in progress 🧑💻.
We also have loads of ways that you can get involved in the project, whether you want to redesign a module, become a case study, or just meet and greet other playful practitioners; get in touch with us or check out this blog for updates (or our upcoming podcast 🤫). For more information on how to get involved, check out our FAQ’s here: https://research.northumbria.ac.uk/replay/faqs/
