Kevin’s role involves working closely with academic colleagues to guide and develop their use of TEL tools to enhance teaching practice and student engagement. He also coordinates the production of multimedia learning resources to support curriculum development and promote innovative, pedagogically informed use of digital technologies for teaching.

Andrew Wilson
Andrew is a Senior TEL Analyst within the Digital Technology and Transformation Service at Northumbria University. With over 15 years’ experience working in the technology enhanced learning sector he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in aligning pedagogical needs with technological solutions. His recent focus has been responding to the opportunities and challenges faced with the us of AI in the teaching, learning and assessment process.

Mark works as a learning technologist at the University of Sussex. He is an experienced teacher and digital education specialist. Helen is the learning technologist for the University of Sussex’s Online Distance Learning team. Experienced in developing engaging, student-centred digital education, she supports academics to deliver effective online teaching. With a background in English for Academic Purposes, her work focuses on accessibility and universal design to benefit students around the globe. Neil Dixon
Neil is an Academic Developer specialising in Digital Learning at Anglia Ruskin University. He supports educators in enhancing their teaching and learning through innovative digital tools and technologies. His research and teaching focus is futures readiness and arts-based pedagogies, particularly the use of fiction.

Paul Driver
Paul is the Director of Simulation-based Learning in Anglia Learning and Teaching at ARU. He specialises in immersive virtual scenario creation and XR technologies and holds an M.A. in Creative Media Practice. He is an award-winning educational materials writer, a teacher trainer, illustrator, and graphic designer. Paul’s current research interests span several fields, exploring immersive technology, applied game design, generative AI, embodied cognition, and pedagogic theory.


Monty King
Monty is Learning Design Manager at UAL Online, where he leads a team designing and developing a suite of online postgraduate degrees in the creative arts. His PhD thesis was an ethnographic account of open online learning in Timor-Leste, and his research interests include online teaching and learning in the global South, e-learning ecologies and the ecological university.

Yasi Tehrani
Yasi is a Learning Designer at UAL Online. Her work focuses on creative pedagogies and working with unit leads from creative disciplines such as graphic design, fashion, photography and illustration to design and develop postgraduate online degrees. Her research interests focus on psychological safety in online learning and how it influences students’ willingness to share their creative work.


Mark Childs
Mark has a PhD in Education and was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2021 for his research and teaching using virtual reality and videoconferencing. He is also one of the hosts of the award-winning podcast Pedagodzilla, which is now being adapted into a book on learning design. His current gaming obsession is Call of Cthulhu, where his decision-making leaves a lot to be desired.

Rachelle Rawlinson
Rachelle is a Senior Learning Designer at Durham Centre for Academic Development at Durham University. Her research interests include digital education, digital games, computer science, escape rooms and playfulness in Higher Education. Rachelle is a PhD student at Northumbria University in Newcastle supervised by Professor Nicola Whitton and Dr Rebecca Nicholson and her thesis explores the educational potential of digital escape rooms in Higher Education.


Tamar MacLellan
Tamar is currently the PGCAPP Course Director at Coventry University. With a background in the arts and humanities she enjoys seeking out opportunities for the sharing of practice across levels of learning and disciplinary boundaries to build confidence, connection and collaboration. Tamar continues to engage in material thinking as a part-time collaborator with The Caseroom Press at the University of Lincoln began part time doctoral study in January 2024 undertaking a practice-led inquiry into the transformative potential of art school methodologies for new and early career educators working in Higher Education. Safaa Sindi
Safaa is an Assistant Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management, specialising in gamification, experiential and simulation-based learning. As former Director of Coventry University’s Business Simulation Suite , she led the development of immersive teaching tools, such as developing the VR game CUBS Lemonade for supply chain and logistics. Her work spans academia and industry, delivering simulations-based learning for executive clients and embedding experiential learning methods across Coventry University’s curricula.
