Gallery (Portrait) “You would not expect to find this in the middle of an Industrial Estate, you could be in the country.” “This is my most regular view of the Valley as it is the view from my office window looking over the plant on my windowsill.” “This shows the mix of the river, with the traffic and parked cars nearby showing that nature and businesses exist in close proximity.” “Again another lovely view of the river.” “This is a trail that runs alongside the river and I don’t think it is easy to tell that you are standing in the middle of a very busy retail & business park. In addition, it is very quiet when walking along here, so it is possible to escape the busy roads in the Valley, despite being the in the middle of the valley.” “This is what you see coming through the subway/underpass entering the TVTE from housing estate. Coach Road. A fir tree! Different!” “Love this patch: Trees, grass, wildlife, all sorts of smells and sights. Chestnut trees – conkers’ empty shells on floor. Totally different in spring and summer – more colour!” “The age-old expression ‘always look up’, inspired most of my tree photos. Team Valley has been well populated with trees from the outset. They are not only pleasant to look at, they play an important regenerative role in the environment. I remember my first visit to Team Valley, around 25 years ago, and being struck by the long line of trees along Kingsway North. It certainly left a positive impression for me to be able to remember that first visit!” “When we first saw our little creature it was a very quiet day, we all watched as during the day he or she went back and forth with mice which must have been caught to feed babies, in fact that day it was the most productive creature on site.” “As we work on the Team Valley we don’t expect to be so close to nature but when we see this little creature or mice or rabbits it brightens our day and we all look for them coming and going. We’ve even kept children quiet by telling them to watch out for whatever is around that day, obviously when they do see little furry things it make their day too.” “The nature walk in the Team Valley is a part of my morning walk to work. It’s often an odd sensation to be walking through what, in places, feels like a forest before stepping back out into an industrial estate. There are quite a few evergreen plants, so even at the start of winter there’s still a lot of green around, despite the trees above having shed their leaves onto the path. For me, it’s a moment of tranquillity before my working day.”
