One theme of RE:PLAY is to develop and evaluate a playful learning design framework that supports teachers in higher education to learn how to create and facilitate playful experiences for their students. We have an initial two-day development workshop planned for early October, brining together learning design expertise from across our collaborating institutions, who are already using a range of approaches.
However, I’m also aware that there is a lot of great stuff being developed and used across the sector, such as Daisy Abbott’s framework for the design of serious games and the Playful Learning Tour Guide created by Emma Gillaspy and Jim Thompson.
We’d like to make sure we are building on what already exists as much as possible rather than re-inventing the wheel, so please get in touch if you are developing or using a framework, toolkit, guidelines, or methodology that is relevant to playful learning design.
Hi Nic
More than happy to speak to how we use metaphors as ludic objects and acts for playful learning , when working with our NextGen family-owned business members at your workshop
Hi Ed
I’m really interested in your work. The workshop is an intensive design sprint for the RE:PLAY Design Fellows at collaborating institutions, so I don’t think its the right venue to share your work but we would be really interested in learning from you. Can you point me to any of your outputs?
