We had the project kick off meeting yesterday and it’s all starting to happen. My favourite quote from one of the Co-Investigators was: “I’ve just realised that this is happening, and it’s big.” That’s only starting to sink in for me too.
As a researcher, you tend to write a lot of project proposals but seldom expect them to be funded. You think through the logistics and the practicality but that the back of your mind is always the thought that “I’m not actually going to have to do this”. Well, we are going to do this, and it’s exhilarating and terrifying in equal measure. As this hits home, I am so thankful for this amazing team we have assembled of leaders, thinkers, and doers.
And we all hid from Alex because he was a minute late. That’s my kind of meeting.
