And the winner is…

We have had a wonderful time at CHI 2026. The sun, the sea, and most importantly meeting loads of wonderful researchers from all across the world. If you are new to RE:PLAY and met us at CHI, 👋 hello, please stay and play!

During CHI we showcased a range of amazing work.

Shoutout to our Research Fellow, Anna R. L. Carter, who presented a story interesting paper on Civic Care in Place, and co-organised three meet-ups! She’s been super busy.

We also held our inaugural RE:PLAY sandcastle building competition, also known as a fringe meet up of playful practitioners. This event saw the creation of several amazing sandcastles… and one body (don’t question it), and one lucky winner got to take home our one-of-a-kind trophy.

Most importantly, we made some great connections and shared the exciting work happening on our project.

Didn’t have a chance to chat to us? Want to find out more about the project? Reach out via email or see us at the next conference we are attending, the Playful Learning Conference, hosted by University of Sussex, in Brighton.
