On Thursday 8 October, our “Historicising Earth System Governance” project (HESG) will hold its first public event, a panel discussion dealing with “The Democratic Challenges of Global Environmental Governance”. Organised by our Research Associate Simón Ballesteros (University of Chicago), the event will take place at the Chicago Center on Democracy, one of the project partners for HESG.
Chaired by Simón, the event will feature contributions from Maria Ivanova (Director of the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs as well as Professor of Public Policy at Northeastern University), Ronald E. Doel (Professor of History at Florida State University) and Elizabeth Chatterjee (Assistant Professor of Environmental History at the University of Chicago).
