Amalia Ribi Forclaz launches project on “Agrarian Transitions, Pesticide Controversies and International Governance”

We are delighted to announce that Amalia Ribi Forclaz, Associate Professor of History at the Geneva Graduate Institute and one of our GLO co-leads, has received funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation for her project “Chemical Crossroads: Agrarian Transitions, Pesticide Controversies and International Governance, 1940–1970”. Running from 2025 to 2027 (and thus in parallel to GLO), the project investigates the role of specialized UN agencies, scientific experts as well as different groups, communities and constitutes in debates about the use of synthetic pesticides. A project description is available here. We look forward to collaborating with Amalia’s team!
