Overview

IDEAS-NET is committed to developing research capacity across health, social care, and the wider public sector. We welcome enquiries from individuals and organisations interested in engaging with applied research through internships, placements, doctoral study and wider collaborative opportunities.

Our opportunities are designed to support meaningful involvement in evaluation and to help individuals build research skills, confidence, and professional networks.

What We Can Offer

Mentorship from Experienced Researchers

Individuals will be supported by members of the IDEAS-NET team, including experienced evaluators and applied researchers, who provide guidance on research design, methods, and career development within applied health and social care research.

Involvement in National and Local Evaluations

There may be opportunities to contribute directly to ongoing evaluations, including activities such as data collection, qualitative and/or quantitative analysis, evidence synthesis, and interpretation of findings to inform policy and practice.

Links to Wider Stakeholders and Networks

Engagement with IDEAS-NET provides exposure to a broad network of stakeholders, including experienced evaluators, methodological leads, policymakers, and partners across health, social care, and the voluntary sector.
