Like the Royal Society, the British Academy is transitioning to the new Flexi-Grant system over the summer. Currently British Academy uses e-Gap2 for both application and grant management.
Flexi-Grant will go live on 1st August 2017, when all existing grants on e-Gap2 will be migrated over to the new system. It will open for new user registrations on 9th August.
The main difference between Flexi-Grant and the existing e-Gap2 system is that references and Head of Department support statements must be in place before submission, rather than afterwards.
There will be a phased approach to adopting the new system for forthcoming grant schemes which is set out in the list below:
