RDF D3 (Engagement and Impact) –

Open to Students at any stage

Creating research impact is an increasingly important part of academic life. In order to win funding, research funders expect you to demonstrate the impact of your research, and the Research Excellence Framework also assesses the impact of research outside academia.

This session will give an overview of research impact and some of the routes to creating it. It will also present some examples to show how other researchers have captured and presented the impact of their research on the economy, society, culture, public policy and elsewhere.
