She previously worked in intelligence analysis and knowledge management roles in UK law enforcement. Katie’s research focuses on various forms of financial crime, non-compliance and organisational misconduct, and their regulation and control. Her research monograph, Lawyers and the Proceeds of Crime: The Facilitation of Money Laundering and its Control, won the American Society of Criminology Division of White-Collar and Corporate Crime Outstanding Book Award in 2022.
