Missing Pieces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pull my heart and pierce my skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A painful start,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t defend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sparkling silver hoops stand ringed with flame,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hop, leap, and jump through them,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again, and again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I yearn for the day which one closes on my finger,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symbolizing eternal love, which forever will linger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, I’ll bend over backwards if you can give me security,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or passion, intimacy, a love that’s enduring, see<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t know stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There isn’t very much that’s constant in my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But when I see you, I feel grounded,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll be your husband or your wife,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll be anything you want because you make me feel whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I swear I’m trying to fight it but,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your fire spreads to my soul,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leaving only charred remains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, seeps into my psyche,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Branding your initials in my brain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I submit to your spirit,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without protest, but with questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will it lead to our first touch?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I lay on your breast and?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Touch your lips,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then feel your limbs,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reminding me that you’ll never leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These flimsy fantasies stab at my inner self,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And serve as my own reprieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They tell me my love is idealized,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As if it’s something I don’t realize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not a healthy endeavor,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I know I sound desperate, but I’ve never felt anything better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s probably why I attract the most toxic of suitors,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like birds of a feather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m a pretty smart kid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know trouble when I see it,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’d be healthier to spend my life resisting it,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it’s so much easier to just be it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s clear that I’m a fool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s clear you don’t want me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But logic and reason,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Won’t silence this longing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As far as solutions,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m afraid I have none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I look to the sky,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Moon and The Sun,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I see Stars and infinite space,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And just as I’m done,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their radiance shines on your face,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are their sum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n
