UKRI Challenge Fund: Transforming Construction

The UKRI Challenge Fund: transforming construction challenge was an integral part of the Construction Sector Deal and including the following challenges targets:

• projects delivered 50% faster
• whole life costs reduced by 33%
• lifetime emissions slashed by half
• productivity raised by 15%

It ran from 2018 top 2023 and provided £170 million of funding matched by £250 million from industry.
Although this funding opportunity has now closed, the projects it funded can be viewed here and can be helpful in showing the type of research that attracted funding.
