On Thursday 8 October, our “Historicising Earth System Governance” project (HESG) will hold its first public event, a panel discussion dealing with “The Democratic Challenges of Global Environmental Governance”<\/strong>. Organised by our Research Associate Sim\u00f3n Ballesteros<\/a> (University of Chicago), the event will take place at the Chicago Center on Democracy<\/a>, one of the project partners for HESG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaired by Sim\u00f3n, the event will feature contributions from Maria Ivanova<\/a> (Director of the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs as well as Professor of Public Policy at Northeastern University), Ronald E. Doel<\/a> (Professor of History at Florida State University) and Elizabeth Chatterjee<\/a> (Assistant Professor of Environmental History at the University of Chicago).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
